Remember when you were little and dreamed of where you would be in 2010? Well, it is not really that far away and i am not thin, rich, or married to a movie star. i haven't had the chance to get pregnant just to save my failing marriage to slater from dazed and confused (who i thought would be really famous after his amazing acting role) or to beat my maid with a diamond-encrusted blackberry. sigh.
that being said, my life is not so bad. i like to feel sorry for myself but i have a pretty good thing going. young, cute boyfriend, a job i enjoy for the most part, own a condo, have a beautiful family (meaning all my animals). what's to complain about? I always find something.
I stumbled upon a great book the other day. The Undecided Voter's Guide to the Next President by Mark Halperin. He is a political analyst for Time magazine and also works for ABC news. I love the way it is set up. It goes thru each of the candidates- their backgrounds, what ranking major issues have with them, why they can win, why they can't win, and lots of little tidbits and quotes along the way. I have not been keeping up like i should this election round. This is the person that will be cleaning up the mess of W, so let's pick the right one. I hate blindly picking a candidate in the primaries and just voting along party lines. I want to know what the f is up!
This is my year people. Things are finally going to change for me. I'm taking back control of my thoughts and therefore my life. Do i say that every year, yes, but this time i mean it. And i'm pushing 30 now so i have to do something. I can't blame my quarterlife crisis anymore. I have to work on New Years Day so i can't even party tonight. This is a good thing because i always wake up hungover for the first day of the new year. That doesn't seem like the best way to start fresh now does it?

Sounds like you are in a good place headed into 2008.
So which candidate are you leaning toward? Are you registered as a Dem so that you can vote in the primary?
Have I mentioned lately how you rock HARDCORE? you do.
